“I had an extraordinary experience working with Nina Mauceri. She has a keen ability to understand and translate complicated theories and ideas into practice and make them digestible for people she teaches, coaches, and leads. I highly recommend Nina for any way she can be helpful to your organization, faculty, staff, and/or students.”

Director & Associate Professor of Urban Education Leadership,

School of Education and Urban Studies, Morgan State University

“Nina's intentional instructional coaching model helped reshape the way teaching and learning is happening at our school. As a consultant, she sees herself as a member of the school community she works with, taking time to understand the institution's mission, vision, and history, tailoring her feedback for programming to meet those needs. As a novice coach, she regularly tapped into my strengths as an educator and helped me see the ways those should lead the ways I worked with my teachers. In the thick of a busy school year, Nina is the person you want to be presenting challenges to. Instead of offering short-term solutions, she mirrors how much of what might be occurring programmatic and instructional may be symptoms of a deeper issue to consider long-term. I'm a better instructional coach and leader because of Nina's guidance. Cultivated joy through meaningful, challenging learning at our school has increased because of Nina.

Having worked closely with Nina over the years on various projects, including developing a middle school curriculum for Sports & Arts, collaborating on a socially engaged national project, and developing a Literacy & Arts Curriculum for The Boys and Girls club, I can attest to her exceptional expertise in education and facilitation. Nina’s dedication to developing engaging and rigorous curriculum and professional development workshops is unparalleled. I've witnessed firsthand how her facilitation and professional development abilities have empowered others and improved the learning experience for all involved. One aspect of Nina’s work that stands out is her unwavering commitment to inclusive and holistic DEI work, particularly in supporting LGBTQIA+ students and allies. This dedication to inclusivity and equity is not only admirable but essential in today’s educational landscape. Nina’s work has not only made a positive impression on me but has also made the work of others in the field easier and more effective. She has a rare combination of skills, knowledge, and passion that make her an invaluable asset to any educational endeavor.

I worked with Nina at Uncommon Schools from the fall or 2017 to 2022. Nina and I worked closely on our school leadership team while she oversaw the Special Education Department and I served as a Dean of Curriculum and Instruction. We faced many challenges as a school community post the global pandemic and didn't always align as a leadership team. Nina was a constant voice of reason for our team when it was time for us to revisit instructional practices, school culture and and prioritize social and emotional learning for our students. Aside from ensuring that our Special Education services were completed with fidelity, Nina led our DEI team and held monthly PD's that focused on implicit and explicit bias, race theories and connecting with the community we served in Brooklyn, NY.  I highly recommend Nina as a leader and consultant for school improvement.

"Nina Mauceri and I worked together during the 2021-22 school year.  Not only was this a challenging time nationally as many students re-entered the physical school building for the first time since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was also a uniquely challenging year at our school, which was undergoing a number of leadership transitions on top of all of the other changes.  During this time, Nina stood out as an instructional and school culture leader who always showed up as the "adult in the room" to tackle whatever challenge we were facing.  During the course of the school year, she took on a number of different leadership roles, both formal and informal, and excelled at each one.  Students and staff alike respected and trusted her. She is an exceptional mentor and trainer of teachers and a creative problem solver when it comes to school systems. She has a unique mastery of instructional and classroom management skills and she understands deeply how the two interact.  I'm excited that she is taking on new work and new roles because we all have a lot to learn from her!"

“What I admired most about working with Nina is her ability to stay solutions-oriented even in times of deep crisis within school communities. Nina is reliably the voice of reason in every room; she is collaborative and direct, ensuring that everyone is moving in the same direction towards our shared goals. She holds all stakeholders accountable to their commitments and always centers the needs of students."

“I had the distinct pleasure of working with Nina Mauceri in Brooklyn, NY for four years. In that time, Nina served as the founding director of our award-winning Speech and Debate program, an Instructional Lead, and Special Educational Director.

I can say without a doubt that I am a better educator because of Nina’s coaching. My lesson plans are stronger, my data analysis is purposeful, and my response to data is decisive because Nina taught me how best to address student needs. To this day I still use the big and small tools that Nina helped me develop as an educator and new school leader. Her great gift is her ability to lead through example, helping school leaders solve problems and address needs by working alongside them. Nina mentored me through my first school leadership position. She taught me how to run meetings, write curriculum, and lead my colleagues. What I am most grateful for is her ability to be decisive in community with others, seeking feedback and building trust. She taught me how to be direct with my expectations, support my department, and foster joy in our community.

As a speech and debate teacher, I worked closely with Nina and witnessed firsthand her incredible ability to create rigorous, engaging curriculum from scratch that met students where they were at while simultaneously “watering up” to meet school achievement goals. In just four years Nina constructed a program in which students regularly won regional competitions and placed at the New York State Finals. Nina’s expert guidance instilled lasting, life-long confidence in students who had previously never participated in academic extracurriculars. The founding students from the program (now college graduates) continue to point to their experience in Nina’s class as a transformational experience.

"I have had the privilege of working closely with Nina as a consultant for my school over the past few years, and I can confidently say that she is an exceptional education consultant with unparalleled abilities in instructional planning, curriculum development, and professional development with teachers.  I hired Nina originally to assist us with literacy and Special education.   However, due to her expertise in multiple areas, she did a great deal of professional development work across departments and even assisted in developing our secondary leaders and coaches.

Nina's dedication to enhancing literacy outcomes for students is truly remarkable. Through her strategic instructional planning and innovative curriculum development, she has been able to significantly improve literacy outcomes for students across all levels.  Nina's ability to identify the needs of individual students and tailor her teaching methods to meet those needs has resulted in remarkable growth and success for her students.

Furthermore, Nina's expertise in professional development with teachers has been instrumental in transforming the skills and lesson plans of our teachers. She has a unique talent for motivating and inspiring teachers to enhance their instructional practices and incorporate best practices in literacy education. Under Nina's guidance, teachers have experienced a profound transformation in their teaching methods and have seen positive outcomes in student learning.

In conclusion, Nina Mauceri is a visionary educator who has made a lasting impact on both students and teachers through her work with us!I highly recommend Nina as a consultant to work with your school!”
